WhY Midpoint Dad?
I’m Terry — husband, late-in-life dad, former hospital executive, and now…baby bottle technician, stroller sherpa, and playground rookie. I became a father in my late 40s. Like many men, I spent my first act building a career. I never imagined how full and complicated life could become in my 50s — raising a child while caring for aging parents, managing health changes, and trying to stay present for it all.
The Problem I Noticed
When I searched online for advice, gear, or even humor for dads like me, I found almost nothing. Everything seemed written for guys in their 20s and 30s. But our stories matter too — and our perspective has real value.
why i created this site
Midpoint Dad is a space for men entering or navigating fatherhood later in life. It’s a mix of reflection, resources, and relatable content. I share what I’m learning — and offer practical tools for dads who don’t fit the traditional mold.
what you’ll find here

A note on the name
“Midpoint Dad” isn’t about being halfway done. It’s about starting something meaningful right in the middle of everything else — and doing it with purpose.
Thanks for being here. Welcome to the club.
